Samsung Galaxy S24 FE cases and screen protectors

Choosing a Samsung Galaxy S24 FE case

The Galaxy S24 FE is a 6.7-inch phone that weighs 213 g. It has a flat aluminium frame that is matte but offers almost no grip, and three camera rings that stand proud of the back: the body is 8 mm thick and the phone is about 9.6 mm across the cameras. On this page, covers are back shells and cases are flip and wallet styles that close over the screen.

If you want to carry cards

A wallet case keeps a card or two with the phone. Styles here run from leather cases with credit card slots to a vegan leather case with a zipper pocket and nine card slots. If your hands are often full, a leather case with a strap is easier to hold on to. Many flip cases come in printed designs, from florals to plain leather finishes.

If the phone slips or lives in a bag

A soft gripformed or silicone cover gives the frame the grip it lacks, and a microfibre-lined cover adds a soft layer against the back. If you want more shock protection, choose a shockproof hybrid cover. If you want to see the phone’s own colour, choose a transparent cover.

If you use a car mount or a stand

One kickstand cover is made for use with magnetic car mounts. The S24 FE has no magnets of its own, so a cover like this is what lets it attach.

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE screen protector: glass or privacy?

Tempered glass is the main choice here, from 0.3 mm glass to arch-edge versions. If you read on trains or in an open office, the 360° privacy protector darkens the screen when seen from the side, which also narrows the viewing angle for you. The phone unlocks with a fingerprint sensor under the screen, so check each protector’s description for fingerprint compatibility before you order. A camera lens protector is also available for the rear cameras.

Wireless charging and your case

The S24 FE charges wirelessly with Qi at up to 15W and has no built-in magnets. A case cannot make that faster. Thick cases or ones with metal parts can interfere, so check the description if you charge on a pad every day.

Make sure it is the S24 FE

A case is cut for one model. The S24 FE looks like the Galaxy S24+ but is about 3 mm taller, so a case made for the S24+ will not fit properly. The S24 FE’s model number starts with SM-S721 (Settings > About phone).

Freqently asked questions

Will a Galaxy S24+ case fit the S24 FE?

No. The S24 FE looks like the S24+ but is about 3 mm taller and slightly wider, so a case made for the S24+ will not sit properly or line up with the cutouts. Look for “S24 FE” in the product name. The model number in Settings > About phone starts with SM-S721.

Does the S24 FE charge wirelessly, and will a case stop it?

Yes. It supports Qi wireless charging at up to 15W. A case does not add wireless charging or raise the speed, and thick builds or cases with metal parts can interfere. If you use a charging pad every day, choose a slim case and check the product description.

Does the S24 FE work with MagSafe-style magnetic accessories?

MagSafe is Apple’s name for the magnetic charging system in certain iPhones. The Galaxy S24 FE has no magnets built in and supports Qi, not Qi2, the magnetic version of Qi. Magnetic mounts, wallets and chargers only attach if the case has its own magnets. A magnetic clasp on a flip case only keeps the flap closed.

Will a screen protector work with the in-screen fingerprint sensor?

The S24 FE has an optical fingerprint sensor under the display. A protector with air trapped over the sensor area, or a poor fit, can make unlocking less reliable. Apply it carefully and check the product description for fingerprint compatibility.
